Ulin Bridge Kariangau (Kariangau Ulin Bridge)

Its location 11 km from the center of the city of Balikpapan. Society calls it "the world's longest bridge ironwood", because the length of 800 m and 2 m wide, made of ironwood (known as ironwood in Java) is famous for its strength. There is an old fishing village at one end of the bridge, which was originally inhabited by settlers from other islands around the island of Borneo. There is a dense mangrove forest on the left of the bridge, which is partly used as a pond by a local resident. This mangrove forest during the day when dry and submerged in sea water at high tide. Right side views of the bay off Balikpapan and submerged while the tide. On the right side views of the bay off Balikpapan.

Along the bridge you will be able to see the fishing community activities (fishing, by doing, taking care of fish ponds), looks too big ships and small boats that pass through, including the ferry crossing from port to port Penajam somber.
