Teungku Abdul Jalil Cot Plieng North Aceh was the hero who fought against Japanese troops in the struggle Fisabilillah, in order to defend religion and homeland from the grip of Japanese colonization. He died on November 10, 1942. To commemorate the struggle, he built a monument located in the village of Cot Bayu Syamtalira Plieng Sub District. North Aceh, 10 km east of Lhokseumawe.
