Temple Dorok

Dorok temple was discovered by a farmer accidentally while trying to plant tree seedlings in the yard of his home Melinjo. When digging the soil, hoe the use of a pile of bricks when excavated to widen even further and form a rectangular field. Further excavations by the Archaeological department found that the pile of bricks is part of the body temple that it also means the top of this Dorok Temple no longer exists.

Dorok temple found in Hamlet Dorok, Manggis Village, District Puncu - this Kediri regency, made of brick, like most temples in East Java. Due to have been buried for a long time and have not done the renovation resulted in bricks of the temple looks like a white ground color that is around and a lot of moss on the bottom. The building of this temple is located below the ground surface as deep as 3 meters, so the soil is dug in around the temple in the field of rectangular shape and provided with a ladder made from land that juts into and can be used by visitors to look more closely at the base of the temple. At the top of the temple has been built from corrugated iron roofs to prevent damage from heat and rain.

There is no statue that can be found by visitors at this temple. Reliefs that have also been badly damaged condition, making it hard to know the motive. A small statue that is on top of the temple bagina when I try to ask the guards a site, not part of the temple, but from another location. There is no explanation in greater detail will be the origin or history relating to the establishment of this temple, but based on the material forming the temple this temple is estimated to come from 10th century AD
