Cipanas Presidential Palace



The palace was built in 1740 by Van Heuts on the land area of 25 Ha. Cipanas Presidential Palace, or better known as Cipanas Palace is situated at the foot of Mount Gede, 103 km from Jakarta to Bandung direction, or 17 km from the city of Cianjur. Although not used, Cipanas Palace remains well maintained. The scenery around the palace is overgrown vegetables, fruits and ornamental plants provide beautiful shades. Magnificent palace built in the 1740 general can be visited with special permission from the Secretary of State.

Cipanas palace complex sits on a land area of 26 hectares, consists of seven main building and pavilion, equipped with sports facilities. Building space is 950 m2 sluas panggun building, comprising several rooms. Located at an altitude of 1,100 meters, as far as the eye could see looks of vegetables, fruits, ornamental plants and perennials are arranged in a small forest.

Each room is filled device furniture, Jepara carving and collection of paintings of the masters, such as Basuki Abdullah, Dullah, Sudjojono and Lee Man Kong. While the buildings of each pavilion is named wayang figures. Some of the new pavilion was completed in 1916 and there are the two most recent was built in 1984. whole building looks so luxurious and artistic. In the back of the palace there are fountains diameter 27 m.
