Ampenan City is a district in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This area was once a center of Lombok. To the west is bordered by the Lombok Strait (the sea that connects the island of Lombok with Bali island). In this kecamtan because there are relics of the old town area was once the main port of Lombok.
There are many villages which is a manifestation of the various tribes in Indonesia including Bugis Village, Kampung Melayu, Javanese Kampung, Kampung Arab, Kampung Bali and others, so that people who are here are heterogeneous and harmonious.
