Roon Island Attractions: located in the northern Gulf Peninsula District Wandamen Wondama and included in the District of North Wasior. In this island there is a village with housing Yende a unique population that is above the water. In this place there is also an old church that has a Bible published in 1898. Other activities that can be done in this area, among other things: diving / snorkeling to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world, enjoy the waterfalls and wildlife observation, particularly birds. Roon Island can be reached by longboat from Wasior with a travel time of between 1.5 - 2 hours. In this island cottage facilities are available.
