
Natural Park (sea) Charitable Island is one type of representative coral reefs scorching, mangroves, and seagrass in Kalimantan.

Peculiarities of this marine tourism park that is the existence of coral reefs that surround Charitable Island, where the potential diversity of marine resources is remarkable. In addition, this island is a small coral island with white sand (the width of 12-15 meters) and a haven of green turtle (Chelonia mydas) to lay eggs. It is estimated that this island is the most visited island of green turtles compared to other islands and elsewhere.
The types of corals, hard, leaves and branches of existing substrate at a depth 3 meters to 10 meters, such as Pocillopora damicornis, P. verrucosa, P. meandrina, Favites flexuosa, Seriatopora Hystrix, Montipora Danae, M. foliosa, M. informis, Anacropora forbesi, Acropora echinata, A. elseyi, A. formosa, Porites lobata, P. lutea, Pseudosiderastrea tayami and others.
The fish are often found, such as threadfin butterflyfish (Chaetodon Auriga), C. Lunula, C. Rafflesi, cob (Euthynus sp.), Anchovies (Stelophorus sp.), Mackerel (Scomberomorus sp.), Manyung (Artus sp.), Snapper (Lates calcarifer), napoleon (Cheilinus undulatus), grouper (Pseudanthias sp.), Flag (Heniochus sp),
dakocan (Dascyllus sp.), blue parrotfish (Scarus bleekeri), green sergeant (Abudefduf sp), Amblygobius albimaculatus, Apogon rbicularis, Arothron hispidus and others.
Other marine life such as molluscs which have been identified as many as 30 families (70 species), namely clams hoof (Hippopus hippopus), scales clams (Tridacna squamosa Lamarck), hole clams (Tridacna crocea Lamarck), king clams (Tridacna gigas) and seagrass.
Existing plants such as mangroves (Rhizophora sp.), Sea fig (Ficus sp.), Fire-fire (Avicenia sp.), Meranti (Shorea sp.), Bintangur (Callophyllum inophyllum), almond (Terminalia cattapa), hibiscus (Hibiscus tiliaceus) and butun (baringtonia sp.).
Animal populations such as the hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), green turtle (Chelonia mydas), lizard (Varanus salvator), sea eagles (Haliaeetus leucogaster), king prawn erasia (Alcedo atthis), the virgin sea (Sterna sp.), Imperial-pigeon (Ducula sp.) and bats (Pteropus sp.).
