Thousand Islands National Park

Thousand Islands National Park is one of the representatives of the marine nature conservation area in Indonesia which is located approximately 45 km north of Jakarta. There are 78 large-small island with a height of not more than three meters above sea level., And it is a group of islands reefs.

Thousand Islands National Park is a place of nesting hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and green turtle (Chelonia mydas). Hawksbill and green turtles are endangered species and rarely found in other waters, especially the northern coast of Java Island, breeding on the island of bushes leaves. Captive breeding is aimed at restoring populations of endangered sea turtles. Breeding activities include hatchery and natural spring turtle child care until it is ready to be released into the wild.
