Kaibon Palace - Attack

In addition Surosowan Palace, the Great Mosque and the Citadel Speelwijk Banten, Banten tourism complex of old still has a historic old building that is the Palace Kaibon again. Judging from its name (Kaibon = Motherhood), this palace built for Sultan Syafiudin's mother, Queen Ayesha keeping in at the time, as the sultan to 21 of the kingdom of Banten, Sultan Syaifusin still very young (as young as 5 years old) to hold the reins of government.

In history, the Palace Kaibon palace was destroyed by the Dutch government in 1832, along with the Palace Surosowan. The origin of the destruction of the palace, according to tour guide from the Archaeological Museum Banten Obay Sobari, is when Du Puy, messenger of the Governor-General Daen Syafiudin Dels ask the Sultan to continue road construction projects from Anyer to Panarukan, also harbor the Dutch fleet in the Gulf of Pepper (in Labuhan) . However, Syafiuddin firmly rejected. He even decapitate the head of Du Puy and handed it back to Daen Dels who then furious and destroyed palace Kaibon.

In contrast to the condition that arguably Surosowan Palace "flat" with the ground. At the Palace Kaibon, remaining gates and doors of the palace complex which exists in. At the Palace Kaibon, at least visitors can still see sebagin of building structures that are still standing. A large door known as the Door paduraksa (typical bugis) with the top which is connected, it appears still be seen in their entirety. Rows of temple offerings moment which is a typical winged gate can still be enjoyed at this location

In another part, a rectangular room with a lower bottom or stick into the ground, believed to be the room of Queen Ayesha. Lower chamber was allegedly used as a cooling room with flowing way

water in it and on top of the new block of wood was given as the basis of floor space. Former buffer board is still clearly visible on the walls of this room.

Kaibon palace architecture is indeed quite unique in that around the palace is actually the water channel. This means that the palace was actually built as if on the water. All the way from the front or rear entrance was really to go through the waterway. And though this palace is designed as a residence the king's mother, it appears that the characteristics become Muslim buildings still exist, because it turns out the main building of this palace is a mosque with tall pillars which are very majestic and graceful. And if you want to be drawn and traced this waterway connecting the sea is, so can imagine how beautiful the order flow is the way to the palace at the time.
