Parikan



Parikan or kidungan is one part in a traditional art ludruk. In the ludruk, there are three types of parikan when bedayan (the beginning of the game ludruk). Namely, Lamba (parikan length that contains the message), kecrehan (short parikan which sometimes serves menggojlok people) and dangdutan (rhymes can contain funny stories). In ludruk truly pure, an artist ludruk should at least be able parikan for two hours without a break. In addition, it should be prosecuted parikan contemporary. That is, they must follow the conditions parikan-existing social situation. So, parikan should not be something that is monotonous. Spontaneity occupies the largest portion in this. The process always starts with parikan that have been memorized. Only after three to four parikan spontaneity works raised. A player who want parikan ludruk normally observe the condition of society around the venue in order to bring parikan are wearing and be accepted by the audience.
