Mount Dempo are one of the natural attractions that are Lahat regency in South Sumatra. Mount Dempo is the highest mountain in South Sumatra, Palembang can be reached directly from private vehicles for over approximately 6 hours of travel, along the 295 km distance. Can also use the public bus from Lahat to Pagar Alam (60 km), and from here continue with another bus through a distance of 9 km up to the plantation and tea factory mountainside.
Mount Dempo has two peaks. Above a lower second peak there is a crater that emit sulfur stone. This crater is located in the middle field of sand and rocks are commonly used by climbers to rest and camping. Climbing to the top of the tea plant requires at least 6 hours of travel. The climbers in addition to wanting an adventure, as well as nature lovers.
