island Rumberpon



Attractions: Rumberpon Island is located in the northern Gulf District Wondama. Bordered by the Manokwari District. This island has beautiful beaches, the Coast Pasir Panjang, of white quartz sand, not rocky, and its length reaches 6,000 meters. The sea water around the island is crystal clear and there is a reef flat (reef flat) along the beach with a gently sloping seabed profile up to 100 meters into the cliff. World-class coral grows here. Coral reefs is almost evenly spread around the island. In the area of ​​these waters can be carried out various activities, such as: snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, water skiing, and fishing. Other activities that can be done is the observation of birds (eg albatrosses) and other unique wildlife, such as couscous. In this island there is also ample natural Padangan where there are deer hunting wildlife. In the mangrove and seagrass habitats can be found dugongs and sea turtles. To reach the island can Rumberpon directly from Manokwari by sea using a longboat for 5.5 hours or by road from Manokwari to Ransiki (takes about 3 hours) which was followed by sea to the island of Ransiki Rumberpon using a longboat for about 2 hours.
