Mount Mahawu



Mahawu mountain is a volcano stratovolcano located in the east of the volcano Mount Lokon-Mount Empung in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Mount Mahawu has a width of 180 m and 140 m deep crater with two pyroclastic cones on the northern slope. Mount Manawu located opposite direction with the mountain Lokon, has a fairly gentle slope with a height of 1311 meters.

Having stunning views, with a green crater lake with yellow sulfur. Small eruptions occurred in 1789 dit. In 1994 occurred a burst of fumaroles and mud geyser activity that occurred along the crater lake of greenish color.
