Archeological Sites Trowulan: Attract More Tourism Object


Many archaeological sites scattered in the area Trowulan, Mojokerto. Among them are Temple Bajang Queen, Rat Temple, Temple Brahu, Temple Kedaton, Gate Wringin Lawang, Swimming Segaran, Hall Mojopahit (petilasan Gajah Mada), Trowulan Museum, Tomb of Princess Cempa, Troloyo Tomb (the tomb of Sheikh Jumadil Qubro, grandfather Wali Songo) and still much more.

Location of archaeological sites all of which are relics of the kingdom of Majapahit in Trowulan it is about 12 kilometers from the town of Mojokerto, or about 70 kilometers from Surabaya in East Java to the southwest. To get to that location can be reached by bus from Surabaya Mojokerto or directly to the terminal drop in Trowulan. Then from terminal Mojokerto ride public transportation to Trowulan, after which it can ride motorcycle taxis go to some temples, a distance of about 2-3 kilometers of it.

Most of the sites Trowulan restored to maintain its beauty. As Queen of the restored Temple Bajang Hall Preservation of Archaeological Heritage (BP-3) from East Java between 1989 and 1992. Each month the recorded 1400-1500 people who visit on a typical day, while on Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays reach 4000-5000 people each month. So, each day an average of an 50-person on weekdays and an average of 170 people on holidays and school holidays.

Temple Bajang associated with the coronation of Queen Jayanegara as queen while still "bajang" (small), it looks beautiful blend with colorful flower gardens covering an area of 11,500 square meters with a wide driveway.

The same was seen in the temple which is situated in the village Brahu Bejijong, District Trowulan, Mojokerto. Brahu Temple is the location Ngaben (cremation), the era of the Majapahit Kingdom. Here the average there are 20-30 people who visit every day.

Site full of mystery

Among a number of sites in Trowulan, Mojokerto, presumably form Kedaton temple located in the hamlet Kedaton, Village Sentonorejo, Trowulan, Mojokerto, which is located not far from the Hall of Majapahit, is a site that is still a mystery.

Until now, archaeologists have not found the format of the site which also has a well Kedaton upas it. However, some form of building the site was expected to form the four buildings which is a form of temple with poison wells, tombs of Islam, the mouth of the cave and a secret tunnel.

The existence of the temple which is believed to be flat with a meeting room at the south corner there is his grave, while the form of meditation cave as a place suspected (hermitage) and a secret tunnel allegedly for space flight.

The excavation site Kedaton conducted since 1996 it was not finished until now, because the archaeologists are still searching for linkage of the four forms of the existing building. Clearly, the excavation has reached a depth of 80 centimeters below the soil surface, so that allegedly is a secret tunnel that connects with other kingdoms of Majapahit kingdom.

Mystery also blanketed the Majapahit Hall is not far from the site in the Village Sentonorejo Kedaton it. Hall is believed to be the center of Majapahit kingdom of Majapahit with allegations that reach the scale of kilometers wide, lies to the west, east, south and north of the marquee.

However, the mystery did not appear to have also in the Rat Temple which is located in the hamlet Dinuk, Temon Village, Trowulan district, Mojokerto. Likewise, the Temple and the Temple of Queen Bajang Brahu which appeared intact after the overhaul.
