Mangrove Forest

Mangroves are tropical plants that grow communities and tidal areas along the shoreline (such as: the beach, estuary lagoon (lake sea lane) and the banks of the river) that are affected by tides.

Mangrove forest besides playing an important role and has a different function in general as protect the coast from the high waves, strong winds and erosion, also has an important role in tourism development, especially ecotourism.

Mangrove Ecotourism is located on Jl. By Pass Ngurah Rai, Denpasar District South, with the distance about 20 minutes south of downtown Denpasar. Ecotourism is often visited by tourists, both domestic and foreign. One of the main facilities in this area is jambatan mangrove wood across the length of ± 1 850 m.

The bridge was used for tourists to enjoy the environment around the mangrove forest. Some other activities that can be enjoyed include canoing / rafting along kawasam, Birdwatching and other ecotourism activities.
